Dark Reign

With a clean and simple look, Erich’s 04 WRX isn’t the most imposing car on the car show circuit. Its relatively quiet Invidia G200 exhaust also doesn’t strike fear into the hearts of fellow racers at the drag strip either. However, the sheer subtleness of Erich’s car and its mods have conquered the local car show circuit, and its time at the drag strip shows that it’s no trailer queen either. Erich’s philosophy for modifying his car has always been to carefully choose each and every part so that they all flow together in a beautiful automotive symphony, from his black StopTech big brake kit and Volk GT-S wheels, to the Prodrive P1 front seats with matching Prodrive steering wheel, rapfix and keylock, floor mats, harnesses, shift knob, oil cap, and battery tie-down. The one-year only Java Black Pearl throws a lot of show goers off, thinking that the OEM paint job is something custom, especially with the Ings +1 full body kit helping bring out the gold flake highlights in the black paint. In the trunk lies a custom setup from Audio Integrations to complete the show aspect of the car.

Under the hood lies a Forced Performance 18G turbo and Perrin FMIC core, which easily surprise anyone on the street or at the drag strip. The Cusco Zero2R coilovers help continue the blue accents from the interior into the engine bay, along with the custom painted K&N Typhoon intake and Cusco front strut tower brace. Erich has striven for completeness and really isn’t too far away from it at this point. Future plans include an STI motor and drivetrain swap somewhere down the line, along with an upcoming magazine feature. Its clean and subtle looks may not attract the most attention, but Erich’s rich collection of car show trophies proves that he’s definitely got a good thing going.
